EMCI Education Marketers for Canadian Institutions
A registered company that provides accommodations services to international students coming to Vancouver, British Columbia to study. Opened in 2001, EMCI has always provided quality accommodations services to its clients – direct applicants, education re-sellers, and schools – and has built a solid reputation as one of the top accommodations service providers to international students in the city.
Through the years, EMCI has expanded its services to include marketing and sales, particularly to internationally recognized, local media arts schools, and the development and delivery of education programme packages for a variety of groups of special interest international students ranging from summer study abroad programmes for underprivileged youths to university students seeking international internship programmes that would be accredited by their home universities. In addition, EMCI has expanded its business network through its active involvement with local international business associations.
Creation of EMC-Intercultural...
EMCI’s experience in market research & development provided it the opportunity to establish relationships with universities in Mexico and deepened its understanding of the students’ needs, the universities’ needs, and the logistical issues involved in organizing an internship abroad. In 2005 EMCI’s responsibilities expanded into programme delivery which lead to the following developments:
- a university accredited academic component to complement the internship placement deployed in an online learning environment
- comprehensive client management strategies
During an early marketing trip to Mexico, EMCI had the opportunity to meet key members of AOA and this opened the door to the possibility of a future collaboration. Discussions continued over the next few years and early in 2007, EMCI & AOA decided the time was right to formally establish a partnership. Education Management Centre – Intercultural (EMC-I) was established a few months later.
EMC-I, in partnership with AOA-I (Alliance Outre-Atlantique) Intercultural, is now further expanding its services to offer internship programmes.
